THE PLACE	It is possible to celebrate a civil ceremony at Villa Balbianello and also host a reception with dancing and fireworks; however the villa does not have accommodation. During the week the villa is open to the public for visits of its gardens. It is closed to the public on Mondays and Wednesdays which are ideal days for a wedding that includes both ceremony and reception. CEREMONIES Depending on size of your wedding party the ceremony can either take place in the ancient Loggia Durini or Lakeside RECEPTIONS The Loggia Durini, a newly built loggia hosts most wedding receptions. For very large numbers a marquee can be set up on the terrace, lakeside. if you choose to have your ceremony while the villa is still open to the public, there is a reduction in the rental fee. If your group is over 50 guests the villa is always given exclusively to you and is closed to the public, so costs are higher. Rental fees are calculated on the 1) number of guests attending and 2) day of the week 3) time of day. Catering costs are determined on number of guests and a marquee is required past a certain number. The fewer the guests, the higher the catering cost per person.
